Exodus 3
In Exodus 3, God called to Moses out of the midst of a burning bush on Mount Horeb and told him that He had chosen Moses to deliver the Israelites out of the oppression of Egypt. Moses replied, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”
God said He would be with Moses. Moses asked, “Who should I tell the children of Israel sent me?” God replied to Moses “ I AM THAT I AM. You shall say to the children of Israel, I AM sent me to you.” Moses was nervous about the task ahead, but God reassured him that He would be with him.
I AM THAT I AM cannot be described; it does not point to any one particular thing. It is all and every. God created Moses, saved him from death as an infant for an ordained purpose, and used him to deliver those in captivity years later.
God is I AM THAT I AM in every situation or season we face in life.
I AM is deliverer. I AM is strengthener. I AM is keeper. I AM is provider. I AM is healer. I AM is peace.
